Any Ho tagged me, and thus do I respond (you think I would not respond to a ho? :P)
1) I absolutely adore symphonic metal, especially if it's a Northern European band. They have awesome metal artists there ^_^
2) I have OCD tendencies, sometimes very strong. For instance, I pick at my fingernails because they are imperfectly shaped, not just because I am nervous or anxious.
3) I have been traumatized by my experiences with water and have vowed that I will never immerse myself in water for the remainder of my life except if it is for someone's safety. I have almost drowned at least twice, I get directionally confused while underwater, and my foot has been sliced up by stuff in a pool at least twice. Funny thing is, I do not fear water - I only dislike it and think it is gross on the skin.
4) I am a self-proclaimed "rodent person". You know how some people are cat people and some are dog people? I find rodents and rodent-like animals (like rabbits) easier to handle, cuter, and in some cases about as smart as dogs or cats. I will have serious qualms of keeping copraphagic rodents though...that's just gross :/
5) I have a deep interest in medieval technology, including handheld weapons, siege weapons, castles, armor, clothing, pretty much anything you can think of. As soon as I have the time and money, I will join the Society for Creative Anachronism.
6) My metabolism is extremely fast - I have not weighed more than 155 lbs in my entire life. I actually lost 5 lbs as my "freshman 15". Other things that conspire to keep me thin are that I cannot stand high-fat foods, I will get sick if I eat after I am full, and feeling empty feels good to me.

| I have not posted in quite a while, largely due to my preoccupation with performing certain household projects, including construction of a deck and repair of the upstairs air-conditioner.
Midway through last semester, I contacted two faculty members in the hopes that they could help me find an internship for this summer. At the end of the semester, after several buggings by me, I still had no leads from them. I am very bad at internet searches, so I had also come up with no results on my own. Thus, I am unemployed this summer. Instead of working for an outside entity, I have been doing the aforementioned household projects, for which I hope to be paid. Thankfully, these next semeseters will be light, so my financial stress should be fairly low.
In other news, I have been trying to collect a party of four for Dungeons and Dragons, and actually succeeded! My brother's girlfriend agreed to join me, my brother, and my sister :). Unfortunately, she is undergoing implantation of dental correction devices, and so cannot visit reliably enough to play with us. When she can, though, I will be ready! I have been studying the rulebooks intently in preparation for my first time as Dungeon Master :)
I guess lastly is that I am turning 21 in a week and a half. Funny thing is, I still couldn't drink even if I wanted to. However, now I will be able to purchase cheap vodka for purification and combustion *huge grin*...or not ^^; | | |
| I find it really ironic that almost as soon as I decide that I do not want to seek a romantic interest, two girls freak out on me thinking that I want to date them just because I am being friendly. I even stated my situation and intentions on the web for everyone to see! Am I being punished for becoming less of a pig? It seems really stupid in my eyes - perhaps someone could explain to me why this might be happening? | | |
